Hand luggage restrictions


Only a small piece of personal hand luggage is allowed to be taken into the cabin.

Generally:

The following products are allowed in your hand luggage:

  • Baby food and personal medications

The following products are allowed in your hand luggage in containers with up to 100 ml:

  • Liquids such as water, juice, soft drinks, syrups and soups
  • Gels including shampoos, shower gels, lotions, oil and cremes
  • Shaving cream, foams, deodorants and other aerosol products
  • Pastes including toothpaste, perfumes, sprays, cosmetics
  • Mixtures of liquids and solids as well as similar products (e. g. yoghurt, jam or peanut butter)

Those products, if taken in the hand luggage, have to be stored inside a transparent, reclosable bag with a maximum capacity of one liter. Each passenger only may carry one such bag on board the airplane. The transparent bags can be bought in the U-Store (public area). The opening hours are depending on the flight departures.

The following products may not be carried in the check in and hand luggage:

  • Gas and gas containers
  • Gas lighters
  • Paint spray cans

Items for every day use such as disposable razors, pocket knives with blades up to 6 cm long and nail scissors are allowed in the check in and hand lugage. Different regulations may apply in other countries. Please contact your airline in advance to get information on the specific regulations.
